When Pinecone Shrapnel Humbles Me

I realize that I’m

in the most danger

of the longest lasting consequences

when I find myself always faulting others

for anything that inconveniences me.

I must accept

that neither this broken world,

nor this perfect God

revolve around

this privileged little human.

(Sometimes it takes something like little pinecone particles hitting my shins when I’m mowing the lawn to realize that I look for others to blame when anything makes me mad.)

These BLOGS are usually inspired by messages I (or friends) feel we have heard from God. This is the nature of our God. Listen for how he may be speaking to you.
